Painter/printmaker Kathryn Stedham presents a unique visual art installation entitled Stories Through Images on Thursday at 7:30pm at the Ice House as part of her participation in the Morgan Arts Council's Adopt-a-School program. The installation explores the inherent connection between experience and expression in the creative process. Stedham will also stage a slide presentation highlighting her recent travels to explore great works of art in Thailand and the temples of Cambodia. Both programs are free and open to the public. The installation will remain hung through early April. Kathryn Stedham works in a studio in Buckhannon, West Virginia. She has been an exhibiting artist for over fifteen years showing throughout the eastern United States; her work is featured in private and public collections through the U.S. and in Japan. She was awarded a West Virginia Arts Fellowship in 2000 and studied printmaking in Vermont. Stedham’s Adopt-a-School work for MAC is a weeklong residency in which she will work with 7th graders.
