MAC is a 501(c)(3) corporation, granted tax exempt status by the IRS. All donations are tax deductible. Click here for a member application form. Volunteer activities abound -- from staffing the box office for concerts and plays, to construction activities at the Ice House, to sharing your organizational skills in the office, to serving on the Board of Directors. If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email to info@macicehouse.org and let us know what you may be interested in doing. Annual Fund: Contributions to the annual fund are used to match grants from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts grants and others that require matching funds. In addition, these contributions assist in the day-to-day management costs of operating the Ice House.Adopt-A-School: Contributions to the adopt-a-school program are also used to match grants. These funds are specifically ear-marked to pay the artists that MAC brings into the Morgan County School system. Art Supplies for Morgan County Art Teachers: MAC "grants" all contributions made to this fund to Morgan County art teachers through an annual application process. Ice House Youth Theater Scholarship Fund: State budget cuts and stock market damage to private foundations have made funding of the youth theater activities financially perilous. Contributions to this fund assist in continuing this three year successful program. All donations are appreciated, $100 sponsors a child for one semester. Legacy Vine: This Ice House building fund raised funds for infrastructure improvements on the first floor. Donors are immortalized in the "Legacy Vine," a painting by Mary Ellen Snyder that hangs in the entry hall. Contributions to the Annual Fund, Adopt-A-School or the Art Supply Fund of $100 or more include a family membership. Click here for a member/donor form. |
