AFTER SCHOOL RECITAL AT ICE HOUSE

BERKELEY SPRINGS, WV ---- Four Ice House Afterschool classes -- two
in performance and two visual art -- stage a finale recital on
Friday, March 27 at 5:30pm at the Ice House. More than 30 students
are involved. The recital is free and open to the public.

Younger children showcase all they've learned in the eight weeks of
Creative Dramatics through small scenes and monologs while Brice
Williams' video production class shows their short films. Visual
art classes exhibit the work students created during the session
including American Folk Art and handmade books.

Teachers for the just-completed spring afterschool semester in
addition to Williams were Margi Griffiths, Jenny Landis and Jane Ping.

"Parents should ask about our summer art camp programs," says Mary
Hott, MAC's Executive Director. "MAC is planning camps in both visual
arts and theater this summer."

Funding for the program and student scholarships are provided by many
sources including the National Endowment for the Arts, West Virginia
Commission on the Arts, United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, Eastern
West Virginia Community Foundation Tom and Virginia Seely Fund and MAC
individual and business members.

The Ice House is located on Independence and Mercer. For more
information please check online at www.macicehouse.org or call
